  10. With this file copied into the LOCALE:Accents/ directory your Amiga will be
  11. able   to  speak  in  Esperanto  (sometimes  called  Internacia  Lingvo  or
  12. International Language).
  13.  
  14. This  file  will  make  translator.library  v42  speak  a  bit  cowboy-like
  15. (limitation  due  to  the  'unlocalized'  narrator.device)  but good enough
  16. Esperanto.
  17.  
  18. The  Esperanto has some non-standard symbols which seems garbage characters
  19. when  you  see  them  with  a  LATIN1 font.  To see them properly, you need
  20. LATIN3     fonts,     and    you    can    find    some    of    them    in
  21. AMINET:text/font/ISO3-Literoj.lha

  23. I have 'borrowed' :-) the español.accent created by Juan Carlos Pérez Walls

  26. -  Spanish  language  has  a  bunch of pronounciation similarities with the
  27. Esperanto.-

  29. - I took these pronounciation rules from an Esperanto course for Spaniards,
  30. and it was easy to adapt mostly of the phonemes.-

  32. - I had no idea of how to start coding it ;) .-

  36. Well,  that's  all, feel like to send me emails telling how good/bad it is,
  37. suggestions, improvements, etc...

  39. At  the  present  I  have founded a department called AKS (Amiga Komputiloj
  40. Sekcio)  whose  objetives  are give support to Esperantist Amiga users.  At
  41. the moment there are some things done:

  44. - Esperanto translations of some programs (including WB)
  45. - ISO3 bitmap fonts
  46. - esperanto.accent
  47.  
  48. In a near future I want to do the following:

  50. - ISO3 Compugraphic fonts
  51. - A Esperanto keyboard (Ideas are wanted!!!!!  Because I don't know how to
  52. manage  to  create ONE keyboard for ALL languages.  Maybe a patch...  which
  53. patches the "^" key...
